Location: Waterboro, ME
This 45,000 square foot store was a total store update. Several departments were relocated as were the frozen foods aisles for new cases installations. Center Store aisles were relocated, new gondolas were installed, and new Hannaford Kitchen offering prepared foods was installed. All new décor, and a new façade makeover was part of the project. Extensive site work including sidewalks, expansion of parking, the creation of a bus stop and installation of new underground drainage was incorporated into the project. Total value of this project was $7M+.
Hannaford undertook a front end initiative to reconfigure and replace registers and POS systems at a significant number of their stores in New England. Jewett performed dozens of these store upgrades and the were performed on night shifts only.
