Jewett Construction Welcomes Lynn Palmer to our Team

(Fremont, NH) Jewett Construction Company, a New England regional design-build construction management firm and general contractor, has recently announced the addition of Human Resources Manager Lynn Palmer. Lynn is a progressive, strategic, innovative, and respected human resources professional with 25+ years of experience in the field. She translates business strategy into HR initiatives that inspire and improve performance, growth, and employee engagement. She is a dedicated team member who is focused on improving employee morale, job satisfaction, career progression and retention, all of which align with Jewett’s core values. Lynn is a perfect fit for the team at Jewett.

Palmer graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. She began her career working for NTP Software in Manchester, NH where she built an HR department from scratch before moving on to Irving Oil and later Circle K of Akron, OH.  At Circle K she successfully merged over 200 retail locations with 1,800+ employees in four different states during a joint venture partnership between Irving and Circle K. She even developed an audit program saving the company over $400,000 in civil penalties and implemented new recruiting, staffing, and onboarding development strategies to meet challenging staffing needs.

When asked what his favorite thing about working at Jewett was, Lynn responded: “It’s all about the people for me!!!  I love being able to deliver the best experience to each of our hard-working associates! If there’s a way I can help make the team’s experience of coming to work better, that makes me happy. I also love trying to find new ways to make HR more relevant and impactful for the team.”

Outside of work Palmer’s family is her priority. She says that she has the most amazing husband, Brian, as well as two children Jordin and Brynn. She loves being with them and pursuing their happiness, the love of hockey and horses, is the great joy of her life.
